Artist Goes Wild

My latest series of works is tilted: 'Artist Goes Wild'. It is a direct response to my desire to do something positive to help support our planet. In late 2022 I was lucky to experience the uninhabited Galápagos Islands. On the last day we were up at dawn, visiting one more beautiful island before flying to Guayaquil a city of 2.6 million, with it's smokey old cars, dirty brown river and piles of plastic rubbish. It was stark and depressing evidence of what humankind has done to the planet. Shortly afterwards we bought a 7700sqm section in Tasman, and I began to research what we could do on this small piece of land to support local wildlife and increase biodiversity. My research led me to the 'wilding' or 'naturalistic gardening' movement, and the creation of this new series of artwork.  5% of every artwork sold from this series will be donated to this page. For example on a $6000 artwork, 30 trees will be donated, and on a $500 artwork, 3 trees.
